With this trick, you can quickly organize the home screen of your iPhone

Your iPhone home screen can easily become cluttered, whether you have a new phone and are downloading a lot of apps or have had your phone for a while and have accumulated apps that you don’t use frequently or at all. Cleaning up your home screen can make it easier to find the apps that you use the most and reduce the sense of chaos.

The traditional method of organizing your home screen, which involves pressing and holding an app icon to make it jiggle, moving it to a new location, and repeating this process for each app you want to move, can be tedious and time-consuming if you have many apps scattered across your home screen. However, there is a hidden feature in iOS that can make this task much faster.

Did you know that you can select and move multiple app icons at once on your iPhone? This feature is not widely known and there is no clear indication that it is even possible to move more than one app at a time. However, Apple has included this functionality in iOS.

Here’s the trick to organise your iPhone’s home screen

To move multiple app icons at once on your iPhone or iPad, press and hold on any app icon or the home screen until all of your apps begin shaking (this is known as “jiggle mode”). Then, drag one of the app icons to an empty spot on your screen and use your other hand to tap any additional apps that you want to move. Your device will create a stack of selected apps under your finger and show a number indicating how many you have chosen. Keep in mind that you must continue holding the first app icon while tapping the others.

After you have selected all of the apps that you want to move, you can drag the stack of apps to a new screen, folder, or desired location and then lift your finger to place them. If you want to be specific about the placement of each app, keep in mind that they will be arranged in the reverse order of how you selected them. For example, the first app you select and begin moving will be the last app in the grid of moved apps, while the last app you add to the stack will be the first app in the grid.
